Yep.

Terraforming the Sahara would essentially destroy the Gulf Stream, which is what keeps the SE US from being a desert .

The problem with Mars is that it is very in hospitable to life even if you could terrafarm it, it lacks several key components needed for a stable planet.

While the planet may have water in the poles, it lacks a magnetic field meaning solar storms would blast the planet with solar radiation.

The atmosphere is also too thin to keep any breathable air that would be generated on the planet.

The gravitational force is much less on Mars than earth.

I don't know, but it would be a whole lot cooler if someone invented grass that didn't need mowing.
