Bring a change of clothes. Last time I was there, they had shower facilities. Much nicer to come home in fresh clothes and a shower. Also, bring a dip net. Can catch crabs in the surf there. Water is clear and usually calm. Nice outing. Tygermanjohn hit the nail on the head. Great info.

We went a few weeks ago.
Was AWESOME.
Concessions are cheap, get the umbrella and chairs, tour of fort is free, ferry ride is 50 minutes one way with concessions on board.
Get there early and take the first one out.
Depending on how burnt you are take the 2:30 back in.
