The Southern Hemisphere would be 3 times the size of the Northern Hemisphere if this were the case, and there are direct flights from Chile to Australia, despite being on opposite sides of the flat earth map. Every pilot and sailor on the planet would have to be in on this.
Not to mention the science of ballistics would be completely different.

I find it impossible to think that people actually believe the earth is flat. I think they are fully aware they are wrong and instead are just trolling people. It doesn't hurt anything to argue it. I purposefully argue points I don't agree with all the time just to piss others off.

Shaq is dead serious. He also mentioned not that long ago that Atlanta is closer to the moon than it is to California.
His reasoning was that when he's in Atlanta he can see the moon, but he can't see California.

I watched a video several years ago that demonstrates the opposite. They are up a laser level on the shore of a large lake and drove a boat progressively further from shore marking where the laser hit the side of the boat at each stop. By the time they reached the other side of the lake, the boat was below the horizon and fully 8-10 feet lower than at the shore. I was actually surprised just how curved a seemingly flat lake could be. Proved both the curvature of the earth and gravity. Of course, the flat earthers would just call the experiment "rigged."
