Careful. The state will get involved and start trying to make stupid laws.

I believe it failed for this year. Don’t know answer but its an actual industry with people paying to be driven close to storms. And amateurs with live cams.

The issue with the state getting involved is how do you enforce it? You gonna ask cops to go ticket people circling tornados that don’t have permits?

Anything that passes would be symbolic more than anything. I agree it’s a problem but unfortunately it’s probably gonna take a “frick around find out” moment for it to chill out some.

Not that I'm complaining but I swear I want someone to do some research as to what happens to lines/rain as it approaches Tennsippibama. Almost without fail it breaks up totally or at least weakens. The line did it earlier today and this one is trying to do it now

Enforcement would be difficult but doable to reduce the car counts. You could require a special registered sticker to be placed on top of front windshield. Then make fines high for non compliance. And could limit stickers to in state and selected out of state chasers.

Not perfect but its doable. The key is reducing but not eliminating chasers. Get ot manageable so we don’t have any deaths or injuries. With those congo lines when a tornado veers their direction there’s nowhere to escape fast.

"Nah, officer, I'm not chasing storms. I'm just out driving and happened to see a tornado and decided to hop out and take pictures of it."

What officer are you asking to go into the path of tornadic storms to enforce this?

Are you in the path of any of those warnings, Grrrl?

If so, stay safe. Let us know when you're in the clear.

The officers are actually out in force during bad weather. Old days they were who sent in most tornado weather reports.

Most people are not driving around like a Sun drive during storms. Its mostly chasers, not sure why some are trying so hard to say its unenforceable.

I am not saying permits are the way to go, but can see how they would work if ever passed. With modern tech it will get easier to enforce things.

Certainly you are aware of how empty that title is. No, Ryan isn't. He hires them. The work for him.

Except for that stretch there where he represented himself as a meteorologist. He actually had a lot of folks fooled, then it came out. Got a little nasty there for a bit right before he started building a following.
