IMO: he should die in jail

Are you fricking kidding me?! He was repeatedly robbed by the same group of people until he finally caught them. Those pieces of shite deserved to die and still do.

can he still be found guilty of manslaughter, second degree, or negligent homicide?

yes, 2nd and manslaughter are responsive verdicts to 1st degree charge.

I know how he feels, have had my truck broken into 4 times in the last year parked in my driveway

I don't even keep anything in it anymore but they still go through everything

If I catch them after watching how this case worked out they won't find the body

Oh really? Well then how will you prove he shot to kill?

Im assuming he just happened to be sitting outside with a loaded gun and just shot at the first car that passed by, completely unprovoked right?

Easy, Seth. They're 15 year old kids possibly stealing shite. In no world do they deserve to have the rest of their life taken from them.

Don't know what world you live in but in mine, if you steal from another man their is a possibility you could die if you get caught.

You and Icegator are both too close to this situation and think y'all both know everything that happened, on different sides of the fence.

I don't see him walking. He shot 3 "private school" kids who appear to be only driving by his house on their way to a neighbor's house.

He's going down.

I read the kids testimony, it makes sense I used to sneak out all the time at the age and get dropped off by buddy with lights off 200 yards away. It also could be complete bullshite and they could be thieves. Jury will decide that fact first. Either way should be manslaughter. His intent to kill or injure not clear here. Looks like just lucky or unlucky shots.

In Florida, he would probably not even be charged. There they would ask a jury question if jury thought they were committing robbery, he walks. Stand your ground.

I get them on camera then walk the hood with pictures of them asking if anyone has seen them?

The operative word being "if."

On the other hand, if you shoot 3 otherwise good and normal kids driving down your street because you stupidly thought they were breaking into your truck, then you go to prison for along time.

Fortunately the judicial system will work it's magic and figure out appropriate punishment, and not you.

it doesn't matter if they were the ones stealing from his car that night, or any prior night. they were fleeing, and placing him in no threat of harm. you can't kill someone for a property crime.

he might get manslaughter for killing someone in the heat of passion, but he will get convicted of some serious felony.
