SB 314 is a bill that will grant wineries the abilty to self distribute. There is an amendment to add local Louisiana breweries to this that should show up on monday.
This would be great for our state. just passing info along, if yall want to take the power our of the hands of companies like Mockler and other middlemen, you might want to show your support for this.

We urgently need everyone’s help. There is a bill – SB314 that is being heard in the Judiciary B Committee in the Louisiana Senate. Though it is a Louisiana wineries bill, there is an amendment attached that allows Louisiana’s craft breweries some self-distribution. The Louisiana Craft Brewers Guild has been working non-stop the last few weeks to get this amendment attached to this bill. The 30 plus brewing members of the LACBG would appreciate if you would email one of the committee members today, tomorrow, and throughout the weekend in support of SB314 and the Louisiana brewery amendment. Thanks y’all!

Alcohol distribution laws are an abomination

For a state that celebrates the attention NOLA brings to it, It is a very hypocritical state.

We should stop this even if it only saves one child from a lifetime of underage drinking

The hypocrisy extends to the federal level. The same people that claim to love capitalism will spout off that this is "protecting the consumer". Of course, they're probably paid to say that.
