anyone use places like cardpool before?

just seems strange, when you list a card for sale, you're having to enter the gift card and pin information. Seems like anyone can go jack your shite from that moment on. Waiting on a check by mail from them after card is sold. all seems fishy, anyone done this or used a certain site before?

You that hard up for cash?

Give the card to someone who will use it. It was a gift afterall.

I'd imagine this is how they verify the balance.

I know all the discarded Nike stuff was cheap, but I bet you regret snatching it all up.

of course, but can't the hacker then use that information to buy something and zero the card out?

So how else are you going to verify the amount on the card without checking that information?

and even after i "sell" it, couldn't i then go put that gift card info and go buy something online as well? just trying to understand the protections slackster, if you don't understand then say so.

do something to take your mind off the anxiety of this transaction...maybe sell your plasma or turn in some glass bottles.

I’ve thought about going to Costco and buying a bunch of the discounted cards and resell them online. $80 for two $50 gift cards to Fleming’s, for example. Just checked their site and still looks like you wouldn’t make a profit selling with their recommended options, although you could ask for more. There goes my get rich scheme idea...

We sold some through plastic jungle a few years ago... it worked out fine. I don't remember the process though. I guess you have to trust them.

, I'm trying to walk through the problem myself. Do they reissue a giftcard from the same merchant?

and really, its a possible "egift card" where they just email you the card number and pin info.

eta: possible they are connected with said retailers and reissue a new gift card number and pin to the buyers?

I've bought and sold on the app "Raise" before with no problem. As I understood it, at least with Raise, you're giving the pin info to the neutral third party who then gives it to the buyer once they have paid. That way you're not just blindly giving the info straight to the buyer before receiving payment.
