I don't find it intrusive as I grew up with seatbelt laws being mandatory. It actually feels really weird to ride without a seatbelt.

Remember when the interstate speed limit was 55? I didn't agree with that either. Luckily, Sammy Hagar fixed their little red wagons on that.

In this day and age, why wouldn't you wear it? Do you not care about your life? You're not always in control when you're behind the wheel. I've been T boned and thank God for the seatbelt. Also, ever think about getting into an accident with another vehicle and becoming a flying projectile? The law is for public safety.

Hahaha so you think if wearing a seat belt was optional people would just be flying everywhere causing wrecks all the time? If I have a bowling ball in my truck do I need to put a seat belt on it?

Holy crap. I'd bet my life's savings that the odds of a fatal vehicular accident via hitting or swerving to avoid a wild animal or pet on the road are exponentially higher than being killed by a human projectile thrown from a vehicle because they weren't wearing a seat belt. What should we do about these animals that are hazardous to public safety?
