Seatbelt Extender on a Booster Seat

Anyone used a seatbelt extended on a child’s car booster? We have 3 in a row and wth the new front facing we got for my youngest it makes it hard for my oldest to access the seat belt now. I see this as an option mainly for fat people but thought it might make it easier for him as well if it wasn’t a safety concern.

I know a bunch of people that have them in their trucks so when they aren't wearing their seat belt at the camp or whatever their truck won't ding at them. Really good idea actually.
As far as your question, no idea.

Sounds like you should check with the manufacturer or your booster seat and of your vehicle.
Could always check with places (ex: fire departments) that offer car seat checks.
Last thing you want is the extender to cause the seat belt to fit across the child in the wrong spots and not support them like they should. This could cause much more harm in an accident.

If you are using a booster that is simply on the seat, all it does is make the child higher in the seat so that the shoulder belt hits the correct spots so theoretically I guess you could but...
... I would be afraid that putting an additional connection in between two points directly attached to the car would somehow impair performance of the seat belt in a crash. It isn't something I would be comfortable with.
And a total tangent but the booster seat isn't a Graco Turbobooster, is it?

Bama...you do realize I was a peds nurse for 16 years?
I had to talk basics about car seats all the time with parents before they were discharged home with their kids/babies.

If it is, please check to see that the screws on installed on the arms as it is integral to performance in case of a crash. A LOT of people don't realize they have to put them in and how important they are. I try to do everything right with car seats and for reason, I didn't have them in ours so I had to order some from Graco*.

* If you do have to order some, need to order a quantity of 2 as they don't sell them in sets.

I heard you can get a free one from the dealership so I might take that to the fire station and see what they think. It’s just tough for the kids to buckle themself now that it’s too tight back there. Might have to get some more narrow seats instead.

I used these for the exact reason you are considering

They served the purpose. Check the slot size as it varies by vehicle manufacturer.

My dad has started having a hard time buckling his seatbelt due to a back injury so we got him a rigid extender from this site:
Seatbelt Extender Pros
It does tend to cause the seatbelt to sit just a little higher than it optimally should (as low as possible over the hips), but it makes it so much easier for my dad to buckle his belt. It also feels very sturdy and I have no concerns about it not working properly in an accident.
