if we were not already having two species of visitors, I would be worried about sending messages to ET, since some of them are probably well armed and hungry.

Well, we have been broadcasting a pretty warlike culture for the past 130 years, where any ETs who have heard and interpreted all of our signals probably aren't big fans of us. This I don't mind showing some bit of multiculturalism, since these beings could live much longer than us and received tons of prejudice shite from the 70s and before.
