Eh, they still find ways to fool the elderly. Dad got a call, supposedly from my daughter who had been on vacation with a friend in an Uber which got into a fender bender. Scammer said the Uber driver had drugs or something so police took them all in. Dad only realized something was off when the girl said she didn't want to call her Dad (me). My elderly mom once got a call where the caller just said, "Grandma?" She hung up because she's MawMaw to all the kids.

I received one like this yesterday- it looked official until I scanned the email and it was a gmail account

FBI too busy running sting operations to catch Will Wade paying players from his own checking account. No time to worry about these scammers.
