Old people around here, when something is really really good- they say, “better than snuff, but not near as dusty!”
Always makes me giggle.
I also like when it’s about to storm they say “It’s coming up a cloud!”

Anything a man can do a woman can do better.
Just plainly fricking stupid.

I’m not sure how this is nonsensical. My interpretation is that it means that you should believe me because I wouldn’t lie to you.

‘He’s doesn’t have a Chinaman’s chance’
Are Chinese people unlucky?
One of my grandfathers used to say this.
I know it means slim to no chance, but never got the connection to Orientals.

“Double-edged sword” - implies that one edge somehow hurts the wielder.

I hear stupid questions all day. Some things should be looked up on the internet and not uttered aloud.

“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
Yeah, that one's maddeningly vapid. That's the definition of stubbornness. Insanity is a whole 'nother level.

This one irks me, and it sometimes gets tied to Einstein. It is very doubtful he ever said this. Whoever coined this phrase never practiced at sports or learned to play an instrument.
