Short of these two things, the only other option left to us is to accept a state of perpetual "war" between the West and Islamic terrorists pretty much like what we've seen for the past decade plus.

im curious what did he lie about, because in all my dealing with darth he has come across as truthful and trustworthy.

. Engage in conversation, and ask if military force is appropriate.
2. When he says "No," ask, "Why not?"
3. Wait until he says something to the effect of "using violence against violence doesn't solve anything."
4. When he's in mid sentence, punch him in the face as hard as you can.
5. When he gets back up to punch you, point out that it would be a mistake and contrary to his values to strike you, because that would be awful and he should not cause more violence.
6. Wait until he agrees, and has pledged not to commit additional violence.
7. Punch him in the face again, harder this time.
8. Repeat steps 5 through 7 until he understands that sometimes it is necessary to punch back."
Checkmate.

This is the approach I believe the West needs to take. These nut jobs need to be hit in a way that is complete, total, brutal and they need to be hit with overwhelming and devastating force. Take their proclaimed capital, Raqqa, for example. It's just sitting there, an operating capital of the caliphate. Sure, it gets bombed everyday but that isn't going to do the job. Drop about 15k motivated, hungry troops at the outskirts of town and take the capital. Bring Raqqa to its knees with a brutal hand and leave. I bet a lot of these frickers will get the message loud and clear. Choose your path wisely. Live and let live or die a brutal and horrific death.
