2,500-3,000 daily calories seem like an adequate amount? Someone also said 400 grams of carbs daily.

Thoughts?

I've read the carb loading is really unnecessary unless you are running half marathons or more at one time.

just eat a balanced diet and don't restrict carbs

go to a website and figure out your daily calorie burn and then add to that

250-300 carbs is for a normal person per day, try to add 100 or so but don't go crazy

For 30 miles a week? Probably 500.

Depends on your weight. But if you're running 30 miles a week, I would imagine you're not fat. I would go on the high side of your 2500-3000 calorie window. I burn about 750-800 calories on a 5 mile run, and do this 3-4 days a week. You're exceeding my totals by at least 33%, so I would be at 3,000 calories if I were you.

30 miles is about 3,000 calories burned, so...I don't think you need to add 500 - 1000 calories intake/day

Ok, so you're probably burning 4500/week. 2500 intake/day is plenty IMO. If trying to lose weight, stick to 2000.

For me, that was a lot of the draw, no worries about eating or drinking. Increase your miles and chow down!
Good luck with whatever you decide, running is relaxing.
