Drove on parts of it in New Mexico couple of weeks ago. Drive thru Tucumcari and stayed in the Blue Swallow motel. Had dinner and breakfast Del’s. Recommend both.

Probably been 20 years ago now, but I spent the night in Tucumcari with the family on a trip to Phoenix. The scenery was nice, but the town was dead. Lots of businesses boarded up.

I'd love to do 66 starting west of st. Louis, then up Pac Coast Hwy, and back by as much of Oregon Trail as possible. How long would that take? A couple of months?

I’m retiring in 4-5 years, I’ve told my wife when I do I’d like to drive E-W on as much of 66 as possible.
