Tram a nice day, you can hike up to the ridge above if you choose. Nothing much of interest really around the top terminal but some really nice scenery above treeline.

I’d think flood insurance is an uncommon or unavailable policy along that river?
Who knew Juneau had flood issues, not me. I’m guessing the river bed is mostly gravel and rock, with soil erosion along the banks.

Yes, most glacial rivers have a broad channel it historically meanders around.. Its just doing what glacial rivers do, unfortunately there are some expensive homes that end up being casualties.
