There was at least one RN in my class. He decided to take his nursing boards after 2nd year of med school since he had been studying for Step 1. He was never a working, boarded RN.
He's happy with his work now.

Good read about the guy going to medical school after an NFL career.
It's ironic that two of LSU's greatest football players attended professional school WHILE they were playing in the NFL -
Billy Cannon = dental school
Tommy Casanova = medical school

Tommy Casanova did his first year of med school while playing, but he quit pro ball and attended med school full time for the last 3 years.

yeah, i dated a girl when i was in college who did. she was a nurse for a few years then went to med school. said it helped her a lot, and iirc it actually helped her get into a better school than she would've without the experience.
