R.I.P. Ronnie Sherlock

He was the band director at Sherwood Junior High for many years. Here is his obit.

Ronnie C. Sherlock, 70, native of New Orleans, lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018. He attended Baton Rouge High School and LSU with a B.A. in Music Education. He was a band director for over 40 years retiring from the EBRP School system after 30 years of service as Band director at Sherwood Middle School. He owned Sherlock Tours, a band travel business. He was survived in death by his brother, Richard A. Sherlock Jr. and brother's wife, Jacquelyn Sherlock, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard A. Sherlock Sr. and Ruth B. Sherlock. Ronnie lived a full life of passion for teaching, charity, children, the fishing camp life, and his Lord and Savior. Arrangements will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at 445 Marquette Ave. 70806. Visitation 9am-10am, Mass at 10am. Reception to follow.

Sad news, he was a great educator.

RIP Mr. Sherlock! One of the few teachers I really remember well.
