Problem is the drivers. idk if they don’t pay attention or aren’t educated where the close calls are, but there’s room to fit the whole way down the route. But sometimes you have to hug different areas of the street.

It’s the same drivers for almost all of the parades. The major parades the drivers are provided by Kern.

It’s not like they are just getting some farmers to come pull these floats around on their tractors. By the time Rex rolls, the drivers have already driven 6-10 other parades during the season.

inevitably they have a breakdown.

I’m guessing this is a reference to a tractor/float actually breaking down, but I pictured a historically black high school marching band “breaking it down” and holding up the parades. For me, the bands are what make the parades great.

For centuries, rex pulls in front of its court and delivers a toast. It’s a special moment. This year, rex got downtown to toast its court after 4pm so they couldn’t carry out a generational tradition.

It wasn’t an issue of timing as much as it was Zulu just couldn’t pass through the crowds. Zulu has a lot of walking groups, baby dolls, etc that stop and mingle with friends and family along the route and end up holding up the entire procession because people just stand in the street holding up the tractors.

That’s a reasonable enough explanation but still doesn’t absolve Zulu from responsibility. It’s their parade and they have to control it including the groups marching in it.
I think so anyway.

Nice to see you still bleeding hours later.

Also not sure why you're posting the routes for us. Nothing LE said was wrong and I'm probably the last person that would agree him on this site about anything

You definitely need to set up a committee with Teedy, report back with your progress.

She may be in Europe though helping solve Climate Change.
