I see. Apologies for being crass.
it’s ok - at my husband’s restaurant last week - there was a table of 6, the waitress put in 6 entrees and brought them out. They ate everything and then told the waitress she made a mistake and they had only ordered 5 entrees. So my husband comped the 1 entree. Well, on their way out, two of the people took some plates and glasses.

But my husband chased them down and got the stuff back. Then recharged the 6th entree to the card. He’s going to get shot one day.

Neat, that has frick all to do with the validity of charging $10 to share an entree. So in your world, I either should pay $10 extra or two people need to order more food than either of them want?

I literally explained what was explained as to why restaurants do this in a previous post above. I didn't say I agree with it, just explained why.

Do you even read before responding?

And a toilet is a societal improvement on that. Do you think shoving a tablet in your kid's face while sitting at the dinner table is an improvement?

Or I can go to a business that is supposedly in the "service industry" and order what I want and eat it how I want to eat it since I'm paying for it.

My kid has always been an angel. The most shameful incident of his entire life was getting an "x" by his name on one day in kindergarten 6 years ago. There is a zero percent chance I would be charged that fee. But I still would not eat there. F them.

you have to pay for the services you want

You ‘want’ to split that meal $10

Extra cheese on your cheesy fries $5

Just bc you’re an arse hole $15

JFC.

Your question is:

The people in the restaurant industry say that they when people come in to split entrees, they typically lose money on that. Of course a business wants a table of two to buy two entrees. If the issue is too much food on your plate, then take that up with the restaurant.

Nothing is keeping you from getting a to go box to eat what you don't want to eat in one setting later so that you're not wasting money either.

Good grief, you are dense.

I'm dense because I want to eat what I order and not pay extra for it if I choose to split it with someone. Ok
