Well, once you get out of the metro, at least. Most of the suburbs are 'purple'

Well ya, when I talk about a large city I'm generally referring to the metro area as a whole.

I was actually in town a couple weeks ago visiting the wife's family and we went out to Watson's Nursery in Puyallup. Man, talk about going from proggy freaks to good ole baws with a quickness

My wife works in Puyallup. Definitely a more conservative area.

Oh, it does.

Progressivism is controlled by feminists. 4th wave feminism is the playbook you people go by.

The problem is cities like New Orleans and Seattle pretty much dictate policy for the entire state on some issues.
Sure but I'm not discussing policy. I'm referencing posts that portray the entire pnw as being filled with roving bands of antifa trannies.

Intimidated by women. No wonder you have project such a thin veneer of masculinity.

It takes a lot of estrogen to think ridiculing you is somehow intimidated by women.

But You can be whatever you want, I suppose.

Not really. At least not nearly as blue as Seattle and Olympia. You have a few very blue dots surrounded by a sea of purple.

You could make that same caveat for counties on the other side of the mountains too, if you look at their voting proportions.

People are just fond of saying stuff like "this area is very red" as a way of connecting to random places through politics. I'd wager the voting proportions of the whole state are indicative of the overall political culture.

You're the one that tied voting preference to masculinity, or lack thereof.

Nah, I think most realize the lunacy is centralized on specific places.

Washington kicks arse once you get out of Puget Sound.

welcome to seattle. this video was taken on monday, may 17.

direct link

you may be prompted to "save" file - it's safe if you choose to do so. if you don't, just ignore this message. i'm not sure how to do it to where everyone can see the video playing on this website.

it's a video of seattle's tent city. not sure if that is what it is called but that is what it is. this is downtown seattle.

Just seems like both 'sides' are overstating their cases as usual.

Hard to judge east side because there are so few population centers. Is there even a single zip code that went for Biden outside of Spokane or Pullman?

Plenty of awesome places in the Puget Sound (which is much bigger than the Seattle metro} but I get what you're saying.

Yeah. Yakima proper seems to have gone Biden, while some places east of Omak went Biden as well. Some of these precincts have less than one hundred people though.

Neither Biden nor Inslee won any of the 3 most populous counties east of the mountains. Neither actually won a single county other than Whitman (WSU professors, staff, students are the majority there), east of King County. So even the central WA/cascade mt counties are conservative. The political disparity between A few large western WA metros and the rest of the state is rather enormous.
