You do realize the nationwide average is 13% correct? Meaning Louisiana might be below average in said statistic or at the very least in par with the rest of the nation.

A man from my church is working with LSU engineering students to come up with a safety device to battle this very thing

I know. How is it even possible to be first in so many bad things? You’d think that every once in a while, we’d be at least second worse.

In per capita over the course of the past 17 years? The article says this happened since 2022?

Also is this total numbers or just per capita? Outside of ms think about how many states in the Deep South are less populated than Louisiana?

Maybe for dumb people or even the average person, but I have never done this even for a moment. I am not saying it's not possible for some people though, but this is not true for everyone.
In recent months I have changed my thinking to accept the fact that most people I encounter on a daily basis are much less intelligent. It helps to cope with and understand all of the bad driving, idiotic things in general, and things like it being possible for someone to forget their child in a hot car.

this is so sad . One time on a hot day here in Ohio my friend was at the mall parking and it was 90 + an infant was in a car seast in the back of a car near where he parked screaming ,no mother or father to be found . so he smashed the window open and called the cops
