Replacement cost for AC Evap coils on Trane 2.5 ton (freon leak)

So due to the Freon leak AC guy said the coils need to be replaced and that it will be at least $2k.

I've used this guy for awhile and his price is always high....and it seems it is again.

ac people are real slow right now so you should be able to call around and get 20 quotes within an hour.

We had our evap coil replaced recently and it was around $1400. It wasn’t a Trane though, so that may be about right.

Depending on the coil, $400-$800, then a day of labor.
