Replacement auto title process

If I wait in line at the DMV, will they print a replacement title in their office or will it still need to be mailed? If it needs to be mailed then I might as well just order it online and bypass the dreaded DMV. I'm trying to get it asap though because I have a buyer waiting. I called the DMV but got no answer. Thought maybe somebody here would know.

If you're in Louisiana, go to a private auto title place and pay extra for next-day. The total should be around $130.

At this point, they won't let you in the door. But a private tag place will have you in and out before 5

Search "Dealertrack" or "Auto-Title Express" online in your area, but most places like that and the state DMV closes at 4PM and can't print state doc's after 4 PM on weekdays because that's when state computers shut down.
