To be fair, they did discharge him. But he didn't even get the Dishonorable Discharge, they gave him a Bad Conduct Discharge. The better question would be, where can you PURPOSEFULLY destroy $200,000 of your employers property and not go to jail?

They can (and likely have) made him liable for the cost. He'll never be able to pay it but they'll get something out of him.

Sgt giving the commentary was disciplined as well. It is detailed way down in the link. Sucks for him, if the video hadn't gone viral and gotten viewed 1.5 million times no one would have ever known he was running his mouth.
