The suit is pathetic but the story is awful. I don't recall hearing anything about 8 people succumbing to carbon monoxide poisoning two years ago, and that seems like a story that would get some press.

Such a tragic story. The lawsuit is just a reach, but the family has to be hurting and how do you come to grips that one of the victims caused the accident. Blame somone else.

Obviously a confluence of bad things all aligned, topped off by not knowing about CO poisoning. But with 7 kids killed, you really wish one thing could have been different (e.g. He earned enough to keep the lights on, or they stayed together and had enough cash collectively, he worked out a deal with the electric company, he sought help or sent the kids with family members).

Anything. Just anything to save so many young lives.

The lawsuit is stupid, but given the mans situation and what desperation can cause people to do, maybe the possibility that it was not an accident should be considered.

But it wouldn't be the OT if we didn't give a bunch of up votes to the post that basically said they were glad they're dead.
