my generation was known as the "frat pack" and it was probably the first major generational shift
the OGs were like cocomo, turtle, owlie, north, tg73, chicken, blondie, catwoman, the queen of hurrican tracting, jrod, rocks, and all of those guys. then it was posters like me, bilj, max, tegg, etc and it was the same "the OT just isn't fun or interesting anymore" claims b/c we were different than their initial grouping
i can't go through an entire listing of the historical trends, but i'd guess the next major shift was the "ladies in pink" era

I remember a lot of this when I started posting in 2012, but it definitely tapered off. It seems like that sentiment is gaining momentum again.

I've seen threads reminiscing about the old cliques, (and probably read some of y'all 7-10 years ago when I was busy with my business straight grinding & felt only had time to lurk)
but I wasn't involved then so I know when to stay in my lane & do my thing.
It's not hard to tell who the quality posters here are, but all reputations aside, I try to listen to the message, not the messenger.

I don't see the old circle jerk threads too often anymore, and that's an improvement. Posters come and go but the difference now is the OT is diluted by so many other boards.
