Moving from Baton Rouge to Gonzales in a few weeks. Apartment with two bedrooms, kitchen and living room.
Will box everything myself and have everything ready to move. Just need them to load up, transport and unload.
Anyone have any good experiences with local moving companies?
Been reading reviews online, but every single set of reviews is either 5 star or 1 star. Seems to be no in between.

I had a couple friends help me move out of a second story into this third story.
They would probably help but I'm not subjecting them to that again.

Labor Ready or similar.
Get 2 guys for 4-5 hours.
Rent a Penske truck after getting competing offers from Budget and Uhaul. Get the Penske online bid but don’t finish the transaction. They will beat the other offers when they call you. As long as it’s not on the the last day of the month, +/- 5 days.
Have everything ready to go when they get there.
Way cheaper than any moving company.
ETA: Budget will have a truck in the market but not guaranteed to be at the place you want to pick it up from. So you’ll either have to take something you don’t want or travel to where the truck you rented, is located.
This works if you start the online stuff 2 or more weeks before you intend to move.
