Do you dispute that the Chinese both produce and buy more EVs than any other country, by a lot?

I agree with that but many posters want it done away with. They refuse to believe there will be improvement over time. Thankfully, they don't treat their kids that way

If it's like most of the junk they make, you wouldn't want one. Their per Capita rate of EV ownership is only 1% higher than ours.

And if you think everything China makes is junk then you live in a fantasy world. A lot of it is, sure, but they are pretty advanced in some industries and make quality stuff.

The good news is the Odyssey van has zero street cred, and neither does the Polar Star whatever the F'it is, so your social credit score doesn't suffer.

The biggest problem facing a rental car company (besides customers being hesitant to drive an EV, for practical reasons) is the cost and down time of the asset being damaged in a collision. RPD is a main driving factor for the rental car company, and since these cars are more likely used in urban areas, the risk of damage and loss of RPD is much higher. And yes, Teslas and Polestars cost considerably more to purchase.
