When her quality of life has diminished to the point where she can’t do all the things she enjoyed… she’s just existing.
I had to make that call recently. My one and only dog. 13 years. Been through hell with me and saw me to adulthood and my first child. It’s never a good time. Doesn’t matter her condition, it will always suck balls

You can tell when they look at you like they want you to help them with the pain…it’s an awful look.
Also, some dogs keep eating while they are in pain…the stop,eating thing doesn’t always happen.
I agree with the at home service…we’ve put both our goldens down that way it was way better for the dog and family. Privacy, less stress on the dog…it is worth the extra $$.
