I played here once a few years ago. Holy cow, what a great setup...... I have considered Choudrant for retirement strictly off of this course.

Aren't there trailers lining at least one of Greystone's fairways?

There was a meth lab explosion near Greystone a few years back.

How would the OT rank these Baton Rouge metro area golf-centric neighborhoods from least to most trashy? And why would you rank them that way?

Country Club of Louisiana
Santa Maria
Pelican Point
Greystone
University Club/Lexington Estates
Copper Mill
Beaver Creek
Westdale Heights (Webb Park Baton Rouge)
Bluffs at Thompson Creek
Carter Plantation
The Island (Plaquemine)

***Not a judgement entirely on the quality of the course (some of these are closed AND that would be a golf board topic). This is more of a holistic gauge of trashiness or lack of trashiness by the experts.

No love for Beau Chene or Tchefuncte Country Club?

I don’t golf at all, and out of all those I’d choose Westdale based on location and not being interested in a McMansion.

Second place would be the Bluffs. Lots of trees and mature. St. Francisville is far more pleasant than the rest of the bland BR sprawl.

The Island has been there for 20 years and still had more vacant lots than houses.

What's wrong with Santa Maria? Looking at house prices in there, you can get a lot of house for the money (relatively speaking when comparing to other "nicer" neighborhoods in Baton Rouge). Obviously, there is a reason so does anyone have any personal insight?
