Thanks for stopping by. There are hundreds more posts out there that you could be not reading and replying to but you chose this one. I really appreciate the lack of effort on your part.

Sounds like he is embarrassed about the many negative stereotypes held in regard to American blacks' level of success as a group, and feels he needs to "overachieve" to make up for it because he doesn't want to be lumped in with the bad apples.

I would encourage him to not sell himself short, but rather try to be a leader to other young black men and set an example as to what they should strive to be. He also seems to hate affirmative action for the fact that it's mere existence takes away the legitimacy of a degree for many black graduates, due to holding them to lower standards. And I agree with him, AA needs to be abolished for its extremely racist because it assumes that minorities aren't capable of performing at the same level as whites.

Have a down vote for having the time to make up some shite like this. Go find some real friends.

Damn, you caught me.

So, do you have any advice for my imaginary friend if he shows up to drink more of my beer?

I'm sure the story was embellished a tad; all stories are. This guy wouldn't change it much though.

Would you be my friend? You obviously have time on your hands.

Your friend sounds like a great guy. Too bad he feels that way.

Blacks don't trust whites due to history.

Whites just want blacks to stop acting thuggish and maintain their yards.

I solved it.

Don't want to be thought of as a thug. I'm 6'3, 240 with dreads. People assume I'm either a football player or thug. That goes for white and black people.

So everyone thinks you are a thug and you still refuse to change your haircut?
