Circa 1988, I was watching QVC (bored and drunk) when a grandma called and said she ordered the piece of shite stereo they were touting for about $199. She said it was for her grandson for Christmas; he had picked one out with the same features but it cost waaay more.
The host said the grandson sure would be surprised on Christmas morning when he got his new stereo. I bet he fricking was. I still laugh about that every Christmas season.
I'd love to talk to that grandson today.
