I was just wondering if anyone here had any experience along these lines and could give some insight on what to expect after the surgery is done.
My son's best friend was diagnosed with medulloblastoma towards the end of last summer. She had just turned 8 and the tumor was roughly the size of a baseball. She immediately had surgery and then started radiation about a month or two later. After that she had 5 weeks of chemo and just recently returned home from St. Judes. She's being monitored locally but she is currently clear and in good health outside of her weakened immune system.

My daughter turns 8 in July. The though of something like terrifies me. Hope your son's little friend has a full recovery.

Same here, and thanks. So far it looks like the only long-term issue is permanent partial hearing loss due to the chemo. Her hair is starting to grow back and her energy is slowly coming back.
