I know there are a few of us here who frequent that board.
Is anyone else having problems getting on? For the last few days I haven't been able to get on.
and has anyone heard why if the board has crashed?

They perma-banned me for having the audacity to suggest that blacks, Hispanics and gays weren't being persecuted by the Trump administration. They aren't big fans of gun rights, either.

I do find that some of their folks are like that...
there are a a few threads I follow closely: the Alternate Indian Ocean in 1942; Keynes' Cruisers; To Reap the Whirlwind (ASB SI with Bomber Harris); An Extra Knot (where HMS Hood gets rebuilt in the late 30's and survives The battle of the Denmark Straits)

I did contribute an Australian side of the "Protect and Survive" series that had decent reviews before getting shite canned.

I haven't been on that board in a long time but there was a long, interesting AH about WWII in the Pacific where Wake Island is successfully defended but Australia falls. Basically it all turns into a bloody stalemate not unlike WWI. I don't know if the guy ever finished it.
I've always thought the Panama Canal was the key to the whole shooting match. Both Germany and Japan had plans to attack, but never followed through. It would have been a tough nut to crack since it was defended by about 25,000 troops and several hundred aircraft, but if they could knock it out of action for an extended period of time, things would have gotten extremely problematic on both sides of the world.
