Rouge you know if those test kits analyze for different genus of mold? When I am comparing inside vs outside results you really want to look for difference in the types of mold indoors vs outdoors. Also there are many types of "black mold". The one most commonly found indoors that causes issues is called stachybotrys, which is uncommon in an outdoor environment.

Mold exposure is enough justification to break most leases. You gonna need to lawyer up and stop seeking advice from the ot

Rouge clearly went over this

I asked the OT about testing for mold because I need to prove that I'm exposed to mold. Once I have proof, I know how to handle it.
I didn't ask for legal advice.

I will do this Monday. I know a few people that work for DHH.
I've complained to the BBB. I don't think they ever responded.

yeah, health department, if they find some nasty shite, will shove a foot up apartments rear end.

The facts as you stated in the OP is enough to get the lease terminated. Now if you think it's Necessary to go all CSI then go right ahead and do what you think is best....

I told them that I'm testing for mold and calling every news channel when it tests positive. The news stations here love their "investigation" stories. They would have a field day with this complex.

Did you not see where I clearly stated that I've tried to get the lease terminated? I'm not doing this for shits and giggles.
I get proof of mold and bring it to them. If they refuse to let me out of my lease, I'll hire a lawyer.

Mold has been around since the beginning of time, it seems to have started bothering plaintiff's lawyers in the 90's.
If you have a few grand laying around, a low rent lawyer will sniff the case. After payment, you'll learn that if you smoke cigs, weed or vape (they'll test you) your case will die. If not, you have a pretty good chance of getting out of the lease.
All said, unless it's high dollar or you have a very long term lease, just leave and let the chips fall where they may. Odds are they'll leave you alone if you move out and threaten to sue.

I'm not trying to retain an abundance chaser and sue. I really just want to confirm weather or not there is mold in here. Like I said in the OP, it's giving me health problems. Per my lease, if there is, they can't do shite to me. But I have to have proof that there is and they won't test for it.
After I test for it, and if the results are positive, they have to reimburse me the costs of testing as well.

I hear you, but then they'll test and guess what, that test will be negative for mold. You gonna pay a lawyer to go to court then?
It's cheaper to find another place and leave. Threaten to sue, they'll leave you alone, most likely.
The burden of proof is on the one who brings the case. Avoid burden of proof responsibilities if at all possible.
