is he also not responding to you about why he wasn't able to receive the item?
Yeah, I contacted him on Tuesday and another time yesterday and still haven't heard back.

No, I just worked it out with the seller because he gave full refunds within 14 days of receipt. I sent it back the first day.
Did you do a signature guarantee or tracking of any sort? If you didn't you are fricked.

you do realize 'digital items' includes probably 50% of purchases these days
no I don't realize that at all, because I seriously doubt thats close to true
and no, I didnt know it explicitly, but I'm not surprised by it either
if you are sent a digital file, you can't exactly return it to the seller
people would be buying things, copying/using them and then crying foul so they could get their money back
but here you are shitting on all of paypal because you think you got screwed on a whole 5 dollars
i bet you're the type of person who has never written a good review on anything....but you'll write out a long diatribe about how bad your experience with a product, service, restaurant, etc. was

I agree PayPal has screwed me before in protecting the buyer...
Well that paypal sucks

Tracking is on the shipment, if that's what you mean. USPS says they left a notice at his place.

i've never once had a problem like this with VISA. Then again I'm not dishonest and lie. My cc company actually has a relationship with me. Just like my bank. They wouldn't bat an eye at such a small amount and in fact, would go after the person who ripped me off.

and its a mighty big loophole wouldn't you say?

Yeah, they left a notice. Muhhfricka hasn't picked it up, I guess, as the tracking is still open.

I would give it some time. most of the times the sellers with good feedback will take care of you. I bought a watch one time and the dude went above and beyond to take care of me when I sent it back... good luck

no one really reads policy statements and T&C's
we get that
But it doesn't mean that you can fry foul when something thats clearly stated in their terms is screwing you over
It's not like they were hiding it or misleading you at all
