Op. You could put a steering stabilizer on it. How much play isin the steering wheel?

Check the spokes tension. Could be toe-out too.

Tires have 5 year life span. Get new tires. If that isn't your problem check steering

I am figuring flat spots. Because of the shimmy, the car has been driven very little. I suspect the origin of the original shimmy has been fixed (it used to shimmy when you hit a rough spot). However, because of the first shimmy, it hasn't been driven and the tires are likely to have flat spots. We'll know in a few days.
