Nice price I always support local shrimpers. Fill them in freezer zip bloc bags or containers and fill with water they taste fresh and last longer.

I bought 150 pounds of 26-30's last week @ 2.50 a pound in Morgan City. Set for a while.

No iodine taste as they are not caught offshore.
I've always been told the iodine flavor is bc of shrimp eating algae near or inshore during the summer months at peak algae bloom?

I could ship you some shrimp to Cali but it would have to be on dry ice so the shrimp would be frozen once they got there plus it would cost you a fortune depending on how much you want.
Shipping on wet ice would have to be overnighted and that would cost even more.
Not worth it unless you want them frozen

Was he in business near your place ? About fifteen years ago I was roaming around your area and ran across a prawn farmer. He didn’t have any to sell but he showed me some of them in his pond.
I want to say it was somewhere in the Belzoni , Indianola, Itta Bena triangle in those old ponds. I was staying at Will Primos’s place in Belzoni.

I don’t sell shrimp. Don’t need the money. I give whatever I catch to good people that don’t get seafood. My CPA takes care of my taxes and paperwork. It is in order.

I don’t run around trying to save .50 cents a pound like 08. Usually don’t even ask for the price until they are in my box. Then I ask them what the total is and pay them.
