Yep. i was going to bring this up.
It's another illustration of how "I don't make the law. I just enforce them" is a BS excuse by officers. They are obviously selective in which laws to enforce and when to enforce them.

it is referred to as "Officer discretion", Officers can sometimes utilize this with misdemeanors
the coming problem is going to be body cameras, I'm afraid that will almost eliminate an officers chances to use disrection
