That is what I had in mind. Or smaller ones. There are even some in Texas that aren’t elite but they are still boarding schools… and I would assume they are at least pretty good schools.
Wasn’t talking about those sports academies in Florida, or disciplinary issues or anything like that.
you know how much that shite cost? 60-80k annually.
and img academics is decent but like american heritage has great academics and is ranked like #12 for boarding schools in the US and has great sports

What about Woodbury forest? That is really what I had in mind
Woodberry Forest, McCallie, Christ School, Episcopal are the best options for boys in the south.

i mean its a really good school but its 70k a year
many in favor of boarding school are going to say....it sets you up for life, same reason people scream IVY league does the same but it all depends on the person
i can say that the type of people that can afford that would be people that live in places like southlake and highland park and most people would be better off setting aside 500k investing it and sending there kid to a those really good public HS and then sending their kid to the state school like UT and giving them the money as a starting point for life.
just look at the median salarys 10 years after graduation for IVY league schools... havard, yale, columbia are less than 100k as our most Ivy. only Princeton and Penn are more.
sure you get a lot of connections but it all about what you make of it. Go to a school like that and go into finance, law or engineering at Ivy league schools and you have a recipe for success if you are social and a hustler.
but for many...just not worth it.
