Don’t bring rationality to this thread. We must have panic! We must extrapolate shite data and always assume the worst!

Again, for the dullards who keep saying this, the mortality rate is at least 3x that of the flu.

And more people will die in Italy from the flu this year than Covid19. Stop calling people dullard, dullard.

The biggest problem is we have no fricking idea what the mortality rate is. We have like 10,000 tests available in the entire US. It's fricking asinine. We have no idea how many people died from the "flu" but it was actually COVID 19 because those idiots didn't go to the doctor to get tested for flu. We have no idea how many (presumably way more) thought they had a cold or mild flu and just beat it without issue. The lethality rate may actually be really, really fricking low, with the standard subsection of the population particularly vulnerable to the disease and to complications from it. That said, because of these unknowns, we need to take it seriously and err on the side of caution, act as if the lethality rate is higher than it may actually be, and take necessary measures to ensure the safety of our friends, family and countrymen.

You all may be ignorant, a-hole trolls, or beautiful, intelligent people. Ultimately, we are all (most likely) Americans and certainly humans (whether you self identify as a bottlenosed dolphin), so I wish you all well and would care that you survived the first pandemic since the Spanish Flu.

Take the necessary precautions, but stop buying facemasks (unless you are actually infected with COVID 19), stop buying stores out of toilet paper, take a breath and live your lives.

Wouldn't be shocked, one of the symptoms is low white blood cell count. My wife was sick last month w/ flu like symptoms and ended up fainting multiple times. Did blood work.. and her white blood cell count was crazy low.

If you're scared, it's okay to say you're scared.

Just stay home for 2 weeks and you'll be okay.

I am willing to bet the virus has been here a lot longer than we think.

No no, it makes perfect sense to compare something that started in October and is at the end of the seasonal cycle with something that has been here for about a month and a half and when it kills, it takes a month or more to occur.

Not sure if you remember, but people were dying same day in China when it went "live." Newsflash, it's been here over a week and we haven't our death toll is sub 20 now? Dont be scared of this...

If you think we can only test/only have tested 10k people for this, I don't know what else to tell you. You're dealing in non-reality.

Now, we are behind because of the February fumble of the intial testing equipment, but we're well into 6 figures, if not over 1 million capacity at this point. That is up from under 100k a week ago.

Things your post tell me about you....

In 2017 you were outraged Trump colluded with Russia.

In 2018 you were outraged Kavanaugh held rape parties when he was in high school.

In 2019 you were outraged Trump used Ukraine to dig up dirt on Biden.

You still believe whatever CNN, MSNBC, and the rest tell you. You still haven’t figured out they are nothing more than the propaganda wing of the Democrat Party.

This is you...

agree with all of this

You know my favorite part of these conversations the past couple of weeks.

Where people will say things like "they don't have adequate data", "and I don't trust the numbers from [insert country here]" which is legitimate.

Then follow up with (not you) a completely unverifiable opinion that has literally no data that can ever be gathered to confirm their statement. Then they use this opinion to back up their stance on why you should/should not be doing whatever it is they think is wrong based on their current belief at that time.

It's truly fascinating

Well I'm traveling through DFW from Houston to Missouri right now. Would I go to California? I don't know. Might need to look into it more. I don't think I would like to, but if I needed to, I would. I don't really like going to Missouri for a funeral, so... But it's a family funeral. Feel like I have to. Taking the precautions I feel like I need to and as was recommended by doctors.

Yeah, "no evidence" so don't do anything seems really dumb. We don't know anything so freak the frick out also seems really dumb.
