I was in a similar relationship many, many years ago.

I saw her through surgery, chemo and recovery. Held her when she cried, pushed/drug her to go chemo many times. One of the few things I've done in my life that I'm proud of.

She's still alive and kicking today.

Methuselah damn you are so tough. I’m praying for you. I mean I’ve dealt with my dad being on dialysis for 15 years now but this is a different animal with my gf. I got to man up

Not really tough. I just learned to appreciate the blessings.

Having the support of loved ones is really important. It's great that you are providing that for your gf. Just being there is the main thing.

And to the extent her health allows, do things together - something as simple as a little one day trip - to Biloxi to walk along the beach and eat at Shaggys, or to the Tabasco facilities at Avery Island, or just to Ponchatoula to check out the antique stores and downtown area with a stop to eat either there or at Manchac.
