Thrush is Candida alibicans and that is very common
This is Candida Auris. Totally different and very resistant to anti fungals.
Healthcare facilities and labs have been warned to look out for outbreaks of this for several years. My facility dealt with an outbreak last summer of this and it was a nightmare to get rid of.
ETA: it can be very bad for patients with numerous other medical conditions. Like patients on a vent, etc.
