Yeah, looked like the Porsche was on the racing line.

It's usually per event insurance you have to take out and its so expensive that a buddy of mine with a couple Ferrari challenge cars said it's cheaper to just fix the car whenever shite happens.
Wasn't your buddy in the fence was it?

Wonder if he had insurance for racing? Most policies won't cover damage on a racetrack. That means this dude might be out of pocket for all the damage to both cars.

I’d like to think the guys that can afford those cars for track days are also smart enough to have insurance that covers them on the track specifically.
MEither that or those guys are so well off they can self insure.

OUCH! that's how you have a bad day.
No, that's not any his. They all have similar color schemes, both him and his wife's.

Doubtful unless he got a track day policy or pays a metric frick load for an unlimited track coverage policy.

So I was looking around and allegedly the Pagani driver was the son of Horacio Pagani, he ended up paying for the repairs on both of the cars.

It was a Pagani tester in the Pagani, Pagani self insured.
You can only usually buy insurance to cover your own car at the track. USUALLY all track incidents are considered no fault even though we all can see it was clearly the Porsche drivers fault.

I was amazed at how far that Ferrari flew.
Second guessing putting a flat bottom on my track day/endurance hooptie.

That was crazy. I was there for Bailey's car taking flight at SGMP and talked to him the next day, but outside of some big drag strip wheelies i've never personally been airborne so I can only imagine the bhole pucker factor (although i've always hope i could keep it cool and drop a Ricky Bobby line "yep, i'm flying through the air. this is not good.")
However, looking at the red McDonalds car, i have to question why he has the spoiler buried. Thats not an active aero car so the computer wasn't going to do it for him nor did we see any evidence of that in the video. I don't any tracks i would sacrifice any additional downforce for a little bit of extra straight speed, especially at an event like that.

Check out the dudes that run retired F1 cars for fun. I heard $1,000/km.

Road America is about like Monza. Trimmed out is good.
Note the red car was overtaking the black car on the straight.
*I like how they have the in car from the black car. Barely noticeable bump on camera. (Driver certainly felt it.)

Vintage Shadow Can Am car trashed. Purely aero induced flip. Similar to the Mercs at Le Mans years ago.

This is why short track dirt racin’ is better. Just pull the fender off the tire and get back out there.
