Of course you didn't follow the story, but you will blindly support the cops in this shooting.
From the ACLU's web page.
quote:
IF YOU ARE STOPPED FOR QUESTIONING Stay calm. Don't run. Don't argue, resist or obstruct the police, even if you are innocent or police are violating your rights. Keep your hands where police can see them.
Know your rights
Did the guy you're defending blindly follow these guidelines?

no you are actually getting it. This is why I don't understand the anger with some of you. I know based on videos I have seen over the years that cops have shot unarmed people not complying....that means I will comply rather than take the chance of becoming the next video. Self preservation if you will.
My point exactly. Treat every time you get pulled over like you're being held up at gunpoint and you'll be fine. Just do what they say, give them what they want, don't fight, and no one gets hurt.
This guy gets it.

he looked like a scary dude. He may have been on something. Who stalls to the left of the road rather than just coasting to the shoulder?

5 "experts" said yesterday that grabbing someone like that is bad police work

Again, how do you know he wasn't ordered to the SUV.
I don't, but I would be willing to bet he wasn't. that just seems like it would be against protocol after you have decided it was necessary to draw your weapon on a guy broke down in the road.
quote:
He had his hands up and had officers all around him
until he got shot. then one arm was hidden in the suv
quote:
If they didn't want him walking to the SUV, why didn't they attempt to grab and detain him?
biggest mystery if it went down the way "I believe" it did.
i think some of you are reaching that this guy didn't say something to elevate the situation. then there is the stop in the middle of the road. just seems strange as well. maybe he was on drugs and mentally unstable

Has anyone disagreed with this? Do you think you will change that when encountered by a cop on the street?

There was no audio. So in your infinite wisdom accompanied with your super human hearing, what order did you hear he defy? Word for word what did they tell him to do that he did not do?

I think some view this as being bootlickers or pussies...I view it as self preservation. I know what the consequences can be for not complying so why in the hell would I ever risk being a statistic

Maybe if some of these cops started getting convicted then it'll change the way they handle certain situations.

I agree with this

in some of these cases thats what they are doing. protecting the public from retards acting out

If that's the case, fire all the judges and police and replace them with.

I can't tell anything from that video.

logic will tell you they would never want him to go back to his vehicle

January 5th 1911 son. The Nupes and Ques were founded in the same year. We both claim 1911 lol

I'll ask this question again. Why would he obey the cops by putting his hands on his head and then not obey them by walking to his truck? The police probably asked him for his ID which was in the truck. Why they pulled their guns, I don't know. He was not a suspect, they didn't pull him over, and he didn't commit a crime.

i've never been stopped and asked to return to my vehicle. Always stand in the front of the police unit or at the rear of my vehicle with hands where they could see them.
No matter what i was pulled over for. This 100% of the time was the case.

I bet this was some sort of accidental discharge. Family going to get paid and someone is going to be on desk duty
If that is the case then that officer should be fired at the very least.
