In the video I posted, you hear the helicopter pilot calling crutcher "a bad dude", he is the husband of officer who shot him.
That is a pretty amazing sequence of events

The guy was just standing there with his hands on the lawnmower handle. No threat and four police cars with two officers in each pull up.
It is called a show of force.

turned on the TV and waited for the 10 o'clock news wondering if I'd hear a broadcast about another fatal shooting by police.
That is just pathetic IMO.

Why cant people just listen?
You do know that people have been shot retrieving their license and registration when specifically asked to do so by an officer, right?

Is the Islamic Brotherhood or Islamic Terrorist a bigger threat to America?

I continue to be perplexed at why law enforcement feels the need to get so close to their suspect.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for the Blue, but why do they get so close to the point that they are forced to use lethal force to neutralize a suspect. If they kept 20 feet distance, they could still observe and react, but maybe not so knee-jerk, guns a-blazin'.
In this situation, there's no urgency to it. No hostages. No bystanders. So why not try to negotiate and achieve a peaceful arrest?
It's not like the extra distance will slow the bullets down that much.

Because it's beneficial to the cops when the suspect dies instead of surviving
This one.. has to be an accident. I mean there's no way.. the cops looked shocked

You can't use deadly force without all three criteria present opportunity, capability and intent.
This is murder plain and simple.

Sometimes the good have to suffer for the bad. Sometimes there is collateral damage. shite happens.

TDfreak-
Ditto.. All for the Blue, too, and agree that some of their tactics are perplexing, especially when there is no imminent threat.
The guy that was pushing the lawnmower (an older rail thin man) had three of the eight police officers standing no more than a foot away from him at his side.
Just a ridiculous overreaction to a man that looked to be in his sixties pushing a push lawn mower down a sidewalk.

You do know the word people refers to just that, all people. Pretty quick to judge that, you think my comment was solely intended for the guy that got shot. Open your mind LSUTANGERINE

Angle on that video is terrible. One moment looks like he is surrounded with hands on the vehicle, the next he's shot to death, no one applied any type of first aid or nothing. Smh. Wtf.

Question (Rhetorical)
WTF are three of the police officers in the OP's video doing when they are backing away side by side from a dead man splayed out on the street as if they are concerned he might be of some threat???????

If you can afford a helicopter, you can afford body cameras.
