Anarchists: cops are bad they are extorting us through the reach of big government. Look at this horrible cop breaking the law. Instead of taxing me and making me pay a fine, registration, and impound fees he is trying to take money for charity and allow me time to comply. Rabble rabble rabble.
This cop committed multiple felonies here and should lose his job, but the mindset above comply blows mind.

I can't believe this video was posted. A real ticket for anything will set you back at least $100 and most likely more. This guy got off with $30.

The video looks staged for sure

Uhh. Wow. You cops are unbelievable.
You really think it's cool to extort and take bribes, so long as the bribe is less than the punishment the citizen is facing? The whole point of bribes is that the bribe costs less than the reward. If the officer tried to get $5k from the driver then the driver would have just taken the impounding. I can't even wrap my head around how you'd think that's acceptable behavior.

I don't see how you call that extortion. And even if you do call that extortion, yes I'd much rather buy a few $10 tickets than have to pay hundreds of dollars for citations. A hot woman cop could give you a blow job and you'd find a way to say she did some grave injustice to you.

Go ahead and be self righteous. You can pay a ticket for several hundred bucks and be happy with being a righteous dude. Personally I'd much rather save the Bucks.
My lawyer friends love self righteous clients. They make them rich wanting righteous justice.
