A friend of mine from high school married Mike's sister and I've been following this over the years. It appears the man (American Taliban) that most feel are responsible for his death is getting out of prison early on good behavior.

Spann lived in Manassas Park, Virginia[12] and was survived by his wife, Shannon, also a CIA employee, and three children. His ex-wife, Kathryn Ann Webb, mother of two of his children, died of cancer five weeks after Spann's death.

Spann graduated from Auburn. LSU-Auburn was postponed in 2001 after 9/11, and the makeup date was in early December. Spann was killed the week before the makeup game. I remember Spann being honored before the game.
I never would have imagined at the time the American involved in his death would walk out of prison less than 18 years later.
Then again, I wouldn’t have predicted the coach for Auburn at the time would be running for the US Senate, and the LSU coach would have built a dynasty at Alabama either.

Can't believe lindh is being released.
He should be put in front of a firing squad.
