Pit was nearly unphased by that tazer.

I'm betting only one lead hit him.

The leads are designed to separate...which makes it very hard to hit a dog with both leads

the subdivision I live in here in Spring, TX has a dog park. I am there with my 2 lab mixes and 1 red heeler every day. There are also 4 pits whose owners bring them almost every day. No problems with any of them.

it is not the dog, it is the owner.

You're an idiot and one day you're going to have to break up a fight between one of those trash dogs and yours. I take my German Shepherd Dog to the dog park weekly, and as soon as pit bull shows up me and 5 other people leave.

I would not be surprised that to be able to buy a pit bull, you have to take, and fail, an I.Q. test.

I walked my pit every other day in a park for 5 years. There were some who were wigged out initially, but by the time we moved, there was a group of about 20 who let their dogs run with mine. My dog was never aggressive toward another dog.

I’m not a big fan of bully dogs, due to their potential, but people who don’t understand them shouldn’t comment. I find it a little ironic that you take your dog and leave when one shows up. Your German Shepherd. Possibly the one dog in the world which has been trained and bred to bite humans more than any other.

When a pit bull bites, whether trained or not, the kid goes to the morgue. Not very hard to understand. My guess is that you failed the test I mentioned.

That's not a pitbull. It has a Mastiff head. That's like a Hooch.

It's kind of weird how this board loves dogs except for pit bulls. I guess the hierarchy is:

1. Dogs (except pit bulls)

2. People in general

3 (tie). People who own pit bulls

3 (tie). Pit bulls

5. People who abuse dogs

Where do people who abuse pit bulls fall? Somewhere between #1 and #2? What if they just humanely kill pit bulls vs. torturing them?

I'm not sure there's really a coherent ethos here.

I know, ironic, right?

Further irony: a GSD has a greater bite strength than a pit bull.

Even further irony: a trained GSD will only bite someone when commanded to.

Even further further irony: I trained dogs in competitive obedience for years.

In the end, though, the trash breed pit bull will just mentally snap one day and kill a kid or maim an adult or attack another dog because their brains are all f'd up, whereas my GSD and almost no other breed presents this risk.

ETA: I just re-read your post and noted the "due to their potential". There's the issue, and thanks for agreeing with me.
